  • Discuss the following terms:
  1. Data: Contains information and can be anything about anything. You can store it in many ways, one of those ways is a database. 
  2. Field: A certain part of the system.
  3. Record: File, piece of data.
  4. File: A place to store data.
  • What is data redundancy?

Data Rendundancy is the storage of the same data, but in different places, When something needs to be updated this  can cause problems.

  • Discuss the diasadvantages if file-based systems.

Integrity problems, security problems, concurrency acces, data redundancy and data isolation.

  • Explain the difference between data and information.

Data can be anything in any form, information can’t. For example, a person is also data, but a perso isn’t information.
